HMA Roundup – Cara Henley (Email Cara) Governor Allows All New York City Hospitals to Resume Elective Procedures, Ambulatory Care.

On July 15, 2020, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Fillmore Field Office in Utah began a roundup and removal of wild horses from within and outside of the Swasey Herd Management Area (HMA) in Millard and Juab counties. The roundup is expected to last approximately sixteen days. The management objective for the Onaqui Mountain HMA is to maintain a population of 121 to 210 wild horses; as of March 1, 2017, the population is estimated at 450. Location: The Onaqui Herd Management Area (HMA) is located 40 miles southwest of Salt Lake City and extends from Johnsons Pass south to Look Out Pass. There were two deaths.

Jan 25, 2017 · The roundup is part of a BLM plan to reduce the Sulphur HMA’s population to an Appropriate Management Level of 165 wild horses over a six- to 10-year period. In March 2016, the wild horse population on the 265,675-acre HMA was estimated at 957 head.

Spruce-Pequop HMA Emergency Roundup. Reason: Lack of water and forage; Dates: August 28th through September 9th; Update: Completed; The Spruce-Pequop HMA is a part of the Antelope Complex in Nevada. The HMA is 138,000 acres in size, yet the BLM only allows for an Appropriate Management Level (AML) of 57-82 wild horses in the area.
